Final Project

Coming Home
This is the theme I'd like for my final Multimedia Project. As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently met an ex-Marine who had done a tour in Iraq. I'd like to talk to him about his experience there, and how he's acclimated back into 'normal life.' Has he even fully come home? It's a fascinating topic, and with troops slowly making their way home, there is going to be a lot of transitioning for these men and women. I'd like to talk with other Veterans as well, either from the Iraq war or from another place and time.

Ideas for Final Project

Idea # 1: Joanne Dodge- She is the director of a Senior theatre group at the Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth. I worked with her last year for Newswriting, to cover her group 'Senior Moments,' which uses humor to educate the public about Senior Citizens, but I'd love to do a video profile of her. She's a pretty amazing woman.

Idea #2:  An ex-marine I recently met who went to Iraq. He is a student here and I would love to get his perspective.

Idea #3: Somebody who travels around working at fairs, either selling clothes or food, or running rides. There's probably a word for simbody like that, but I can't think of the name... anyways I'm headed to the Fryeburg Fair this weeknd so maybe I will get some inspiration. There are always plenty of colorful people at the fair.

Idea #4: A Professor. Or maybe a high school teacher. The idea of being a teacher scares me a little, so I'd be interested in following one around for a while.
